Brenda J. Allen (PhD, Howard University) is a Professor of Communication and Vice Chancellor for Diversity and Inclusion at the University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus. Her research and teaching areas are organizational communication, diversity, group communication, and critical pedagogy. She presents keynote speeches and conducts workshops and consultations on topics such as self-empowerment, diversity, leadership, inclusion, strategic planning, presentational speaking, mentoring, and teamwork.

Favorite book related to inclusiveness: One of my favorite resources related to inclusiveness is my book Difference Matters: Communicating Social Identity. It invites every reader to reflect on issues of power, privilege, and resistance as they operate in their lives, and it offers practical tools for how to make a difference.
