Favorite Quote: “Believe you can and you’re half way there.” -Theodore Roosevelt
Kathy Duda is mother, community member with a strong commitment to inclusiveness. Social justice and equity have always been on the forefront of my conscience. For as long as I can remember, I have felt compelled to use my voice (sometimes loudly) and influence (more often thoughtfully) on behalf of the underdog. It is how I am built. It is who I am.
Why CIRCLE? If I continue to learn from the past, I can make a greater impact now, to ensure a brighter future.
Favorite book related to inclusiveness: Lost in Translation by Eva Hoffman. It is a fabulous memoir about self-identity and the challenges of straddling two cultures. Eva Hoffman uses the intricacies of language to high light the vast complexity of ethnic and racial relations.
Personal Theme Song: “I Lived”by One Republic- It is a great message for my kids about the need to take risks, and the music oozes energy.
