Fran is a veteran educator, writer, and strategic organizer with experience creating resources and dialogue for social justice related non-profits, museums, filmmaking teams and others. During Fran’s 15-year tenure at Facing History and Ourselves, she authored numerous books and study guides, facilitated dozens of nationwide trainings and strategic partnerships. Fran holds a Bachelor's Degree in Politics from Mount Holyoke College, a Master's Degree in Education from the University of Colorado, a diploma in Jewish Studies from the Oxford University, and has completed her PhD coursework in Cultural Studies and History from Claremont Graduate School.

Favorite book related to inclusiveness: The Lost, Daniel Mendelsohn. I chose this text as it speaks to the relationship between knowing who we are, where we came from and how we need to make sense of these connections over time.
