The STAMP Conference is a daylong diversity and inclusiveness conference/experience for middle school students designed and facilitated by high school students from across the Denver metro area. STAMP stands for Students Taking Action and Making Progress and the conference equips middle school youth from across the Denver area and beyond with tools to build more inclusive communities in their home schools. What makes this experience so unique is the coming together of diverse students from varied high schools and middle schools, representing public, private, charter and independent school communities. The high school leaders who plan the conference receive leadership and facilitation training and are empowered to design and create every workshop for the conference. In year one, we began with just a dozen high school leaders and in October 2015 we had 60 high school leaders creating, facilitating and leading the STAMP program.
